He claimed that increasing fuel prices right before Ramadan is equivalent to unleashing a “inflation bomb” on the populace in a statement released on Monday. He cautioned that the impacts of the rise in fuel prices would be felt by all Pakistanis and would spread to every area of the country.
According to Ahsan, governments throughout usually offer assistance to their residents during religious holidays. He did, however, blame the government for going in the opposite way by raising fuel prices at a time when people are already struggling with growing expenses. He claimed that the increase in fuel prices will seriously affect household budgets, especially for low- and middle-income families, as Ramadan draws near.
“Does the government have no idea that these choices are driving people closer to financial instability?” he said.
He stated that in addition to opposing the rise in gas prices, the Pakistan Peoples Party vehemently denounces it. In order to alleviate the financial burden on the populace, he insisted that the government immediately reverse the increase in the price of petroleum products.
